How to complete the project.

Once you purchase the project, a download will be sent to you. You can then print this download off - we recommend using A4 paper.

There are lines included underneath the questions for you to put the answers, but don’t feel like you need to stick to these! It can even make the project more interesting to add sticky notes and extra pieces of paper where your role model’s answer is longer and more detailed. Feel free to add pictures too where applicable.

It’s your job to listen and record, using the questions as guides to help tell the story. Let your role model interpret the question as she chooses to and ask follow-up questions where necessary to further understand.

Some like to use the project as a record of family history, to preserve their caregiver’s memories and give future generations an insight into how they lived their life.

The best way to complete the project is to schedule regular, shorter meetings with your role model over a longer period of time. This is a long-term project so there’s no need to rush it. 15 to 30 minutes for each session works well.

Each area has a set of questions. You can adjust, remove or add any questions you’d like to better suit you.
